Project Abstract
We call our project "The Secrets of Life" because cells are hard to see but they are important to us. Cells are alive and contain genetic information like DNA and RNA. We describe different kinds of cells what cells look like and what they do. We look inside cells and discuss the functions of DNA and RNA. We also develop analogies for cells. For example, we show how a nerve cell is like a city. We also describe the dark side of cells by discussing Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease, and epilepsy. Finally, we show how cells are useful in everyday life with examples like DNA identification and fingerprinting.
