A Summary of the Project: The experiment was conducted to investigate if different types of household lighting would visibly influence the photosynthetic capacity of plants. While conducting the experiments, three main characteristics in the plants were notes: stem length, total number of distinguishable leaves, and the darkness in colour. Detailed observations of each plant were recorded over a period of more than two weeks. The analysis of the data indicated that natural sunlight had the most positive effect on the plants.

Source
of the idea of the project: One
of the members in the group has a home garden. This experiment was conducted to
discover the benefits and side effects of alternative lighting. Knowledge gained
from this experiment could be used to being growing some plants during the
winter season.
